BARCELONA (April 6, 2026) – Often described by attendees as a “mini United Nations Convention,” the Rotary International Convention will take place at Fira de Barcelona from June 26-30, 2027. This will give Barcelona the opportunity to host the Rotary world two years earlier than the schedule announced in March.
Based on previous events, the convention is expected to attract approximately 20,000 attendees from over 140 countries and contribute more than €68 million to the local economy.
The 2027 Rotary International Convention was initially planned to be held in Dubai. However, due to current uncertainties in the region, Rotary decided to postpone the Dubai Convention to a later date. Rotary leaders thanked stakeholders in Barcelona for their cooperation and flexibility during this transition process.
Sergio Aragón, Chair of the Barcelona Hosting Committee and member of Rotary Club Barcelona Diagonal, stated:
“With great excitement and energy, we are ready to move forward quickly to host the 2027 International Convention. We look forward to welcoming our guests from around the world and providing them with an unforgettable experience.”
